Mars explorer. Sustainability pioneer. Dianne McGrath wants to leave our planet to make this world a better place. She is one of only 100 remaining candidates worldwide from the initial 202,586 applicants for the Mars One mission in 2031. And the ‘one’ doesn’t just mean it’s the first mission. It also stands for ‘one way’. Dianne won’t be coming back. Dianne’s goal is to prove that we can live as a united humanity in a completely sustainable world. One where we survive and thrive in a closed-loop food system, where 100% of our energy is renewable and where we produce our own water and oxygen. This is why Dianne is one of Australia’s leading sustainability experts and is a Director on the board of the Open Food Network, a not-for-profit organisation in the food sustainability and community food space. Her current research, Watch My Waste, focuses on the tremendous food waste in the hospitality sector, including cafes, restaurants, pubs, catering and take away. You will sit in awe as Dianne inspires you to be something bigger than you think possible and do what really matters in life. See her now… while you still can. © ICMI Speakers & Entertainers
